MEET HARRISON
Mr. Long is a native of Longview, Texas. An alumnus of The University of North Texas, where he received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and international studies, and South Texas College of Law Houston, where he received his Juris Doctorate. Mr. Long has been practicing law in Houston since 2022.
Having previously worked with Harris County Attorney’s Office in its Property Tax and General Counsel divisions, Mr. Long has experience in both the courtroom and in performing transactional work, with a keen understanding of the nuances of public-facing work and the needs of clients in his sphere of practice.
Following undergrad, Mr. Long spent one year as a National Service Volunteer with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, where he completed over 2,100 hours of volunteer community service between 2017-18, including disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey.
Mr. Long is a member of Houston Young Lawyers and Houston Bar Association. For the former, he was a committee chair of HYLA’s Passport to Mexico City, the organization’s second international conference, which brought attorneys, jurists, and practitioners from all over the world for a one-week seminar. Mr. Long also works frequently with HYLA’s Leadership Academy and was previously on the Editorial Board of HBA’s legal magazine. Mr. Long is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Colorado.
Mr. Long enjoys running, traveling, hiking, and skiing in his free time. He has successfully summitted Mount Kilimanjaro and plans to attempt Denali in the future.
