Annie E. Mask

Ms. Mask joined SNLL as a law clerk before becoming an associate attorney in 2024. Ms. Mask’s primary practice includes representing school districts in disability law and special education.

Ms. Mask graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. This led Ms. Mask to an initial career in bilingual early education in large urban school districts in Texas and California. Recognizing a need in the classroom for more specialized instruction, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas A&M University. Thereafter, Ms. Mask worked as a special education behavior specialist and coordinator in both public and charter school districts. Ms. Mask also received her Texas principal certification in 2019. Throughout her 17 years in education, Ms. Mask has worked with all age levels of students from preschool to adults and her favorite part is the relationships she made with families along the way while watching her students grow.

In 2021, with the encouragement of her middle school students, Ms. Mask left the classroom to attend South Texas College of Law Houston, Texas. While in law school, Ms. Mask interned at the Executive Office of Immigration Review in San Antonio, Texas, Catholic Charities Unaccompanied Minors Program, in the 338th Criminal District Court in Harris County with the Honorable Judge Ramona Franklin, and in various immigration and guardianship clinics. Ms. Mask also received a mediation certificate.

When not working, Ms. Masks spends her time traveling the world and spoiling Sonny (cat) and Oliver (dog).
