Meet Paul

Mr. Lamp is a partner in the Houston office. Mr. Lamp is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and his practice includes the representation of both private and public sector employers in all forms of labor, employment and civil rights matters. Mr. Lamp has successfully defended cases under Section 1983, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, and other statutory and common law causes of action, including wrongful termination, workers compensation retaliation, defamation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Mr. Lamp also has significant experience defending governmental entities and public officials from civil rights claims, whistleblower claims, and other causes of action unique to the public sector. Mr. Lamp received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance in 1991 from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1997, Mr. Lamp graduated from the South Texas College of Law, where he was Research Editor and Business Manager of the South Texas Law Review. Mr. Lamp was also on the Dean’s List. Mr. Lamp is a member of the State Bar of Texas School Law Section, the State Bar of Texas Labor Employment Section, the Texas Council of School Attorneys and the National Council of School Attorneys.
