Meet Blaire

Ms. Craven is a native of Lufkin who began representation of East Texas school districts in 2014. Ms. Craven routinely assists school administrators and boards in all areas of school law, including employment, student discipline, procurement, construction, board governance, grievances, and policy matters. She represents school districts before multiple administrative agencies, including EEOC, OCR, TEA, TWC, and UIL. Ms. Craven particularly enjoys providing training opportunities to her clients, focusing on staff trainings, administrator workshops, and board trainings. She is qualified to provide both Team of Eight and EISO trainings to Boards of Trustees. Additionally, Ms. Craven is a frequent speaker for the Region 7 ESC, as well as the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).

Ms. Craven graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 with a Political Communications degree, where she also worked as a legislative aide for Representative Jim Pitts during the 82nd Session. She graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2014.  While in law school, she served as Managing Editor of the Construction Law Journal and as law clerk for a local Houston firm. She graduated Cum Laude and received the CALI award for excellence in Education Law and American Legal History.

Ms. Craven resides in Lufkin with her husband, Matthew, and daughter, Margaret, where the family is a member of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church. She enjoys serving her community as a board member for the Lufkin ISD Education Foundation and the Winnie Berry Humane Society.
