STEVES POWERS

Mr. Powers joined the firm’s Houston office in 2022. His practice primarily consists of representing school districts and charter schools in real estate, general purchasing, and business transactions.

Mr. Powers received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business in 2011. Mr. Powers graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2014, where he was a member of the varsity mock trial team and served as an officer and committee chair on the Board of Advocates.

Prior to specializing in real estate, Mr. Powers practiced civil litigation, representing plaintiffs in mass tort litigation. In his real estate practice, Mr. Powers has represented clients in all facets of the purchase, development, and sale process. In addition to representing individual and corporate clients, he has also represented multiple financial institutions and private lenders in preparing loan and other securitization documents.

Mr. Powers is a member of the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and volunteers at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
