LIZ M. RICE

Ms. Rice joined the firm’s Houston office in 2020. Ms. Rice’s practice primarily consists of consulting school districts, charter schools, and junior colleges in employment and civil rights matters through preventative measures and defending public-sector clients through trial and appeal when matters become litigious. 

Ms. Rice received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, summa cum laude, from Virginia Tech in 2014. In 2017, Ms. Rice graduated cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Executive Editor of Duquesne Law Review, as an active member of the Appellate Moot Court Board, and received the CALI Excellence Award for the highest grade in her Contracts class. Ms. Rice is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Texas.  

Ms. Rice is a member of the Texas Council of School Attorneys, National Council of School Attorneys, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and is an Assistant Editor of the Appellate Lawyer Publication Committee.  In the community, Ms. Rice is a member of the Junior League of Houston and currently serves as a pen pal to students at the Westview School.
