Construction & Procurement Matters

SNLL’s attorneys are highly experienced in all matters of governmental procurement and contracting matters, including goods and services across all sectors including construction.

SNLL routinely counsels clients in construction and procurement matters, including drafting procurement solicitations, compliance with applicable laws, and contract drafting. Our attorneys are intimately familiar with the construction delivery method options and the processes related to each pursuant to relevant statutory requirements, including Government Code Chapter 2269 and related statutes and regulations such as bonding and prevailing wage rates. SNLL has unique, heavily revised versions of the AIA contract documents, including architect/engineer agreements, owner-contractor agreements, and Construction Manager At-Risk agreements, as well as has its own contract templates for job order contracts, minor facilities construction projects, and the like. SNLL has also successfully negotiated construction disputes for several school district clients, saving them significant litigation costs, as well as represented clients in construction litigation matters. SNLL attorneys routinely conduct trainings on construction-related matters, including on topics such as maintenance v. construction, job order contracting, professional services, contract terms and conditions, and similar topics.
